Buggy Hunt launches in SW19

2017-01-31 12:00:00

London Treasure Hunts is delighted to announce the launch of Buggy Hunt this summer. This event will be pre-bookable by individuals and groups and is aimed at providing some gentle fresh air and exercise for new mums in a buggy friendly environment.

Our first route will be based around Wimbledon. The aim of the route is to have fewer questions over a longer period, to allow for participants to feed, change nappies or just sit and enjoy the sunshine if the urge takes them. The entire route is being designed to allow for buggies or slings/carriers and our on-site representative will have a well-stocked bag of baby friendly sun-cream, nappies, wipes and other paraphernalia.

The hunt itself is in the mid-stages of design and we will be updating this page shortly with details of our first events, prices and other interesting titbits. In the meantime, if you’d like to be among the first to try this fantastic new event, then please do contact us via the red phone boxes and we’ll keep you informed as the hunt develops.

London Treasure Hunts takes over Severndroog Castle

2017-01-31 12:00:00

London Treasure Hunts was delighted to be asked to run a specially commissioned hunt at Severndroog Castle, Eltham as part of a five-year-old’s birthday party. Having visited the castle, a folly built in 1784 and only restored after a local campaign in 2014, we designed a route that made the most of the intriguing spaces the castle offered, both inside and outside, while leaving the delicate interiors untouched.

With an audience of five year olds, this was a hunt that relied heavily on imagery and activities were based around the castle’s history as far as possible, allowing participants to act up as pirates, highwaymen and even animals of the Indian subcontinent, all of which feature largely in Severndroog’s colourful past.

If you are planning an event in an unusual or sensitive setting and would like your guests to explore it in the most unique and interesting way possible, then contact us to see how we can help make your event memorable.

London Treasure Hunts launches new website

2017-01-30 18:00:00

London Treasure Hunts are delighted to launch their new website! It features all the old favourites, such as our Twitter Map, but has a much improved navigation system and a glut of information -whether you are just looking to download a hunt and go or plan an entire day out with a personal hunt.

Our new website reflects how the business has diversified since we began in 2008, when the downloadable hunts were our sole product. Since then, we’ve been lucky enough to work with some amazing people and companies, creating hunts all over the UK on a bizarre variety of topics. In the last year alone we’ve worked at conferences, hen do’s, stag do’s, children’s birthday parties, incentive days, anniversaries and company induction events. To reflect this, our new website has a lot more content for those interested in commissioning their own hunt for a special day or corporate event, including some easy to access samples and answers to the most frequently asked questions.

That’s not to say we’re abandoning the downloadable hunts – oh no! Each hunt has been refreshed and we hope to start adding to our library again over the next year. In the meantime, each page has been updated with easy-to-find key information about the hunt in question, clearer and longer samples plus a more in-depth overview to help clients decide which is the right hunt for them.

This is just the start, in the near future we’re hoping to expand the site further to create a new space for Children’s Birthday Parties, as these have very different requirements to our usual, more adult-focused, work and an Events page where you’ll be able to find out about our latest venture Buggy Hunt – a shorter route aimed at new mothers and babies, trialling this summer in the SW19 area.

Please take a look around and let us know what you think of the new site – you can always find us hiding behind the red phone boxes and we’d love to chat!
