London Treasure Hunts was delighted to be asked to run a specially commissioned hunt at Severndroog Castle, Eltham as part of a five-year-old's birthday party. Having visited the castle, a folly built in 1784 and only restored after a local campaign in 2014, we designed a route that made the most of the intriguing spaces the castle offered, both inside and outside, while leaving the delicate interiors untouched.

With an audience of five year olds, this was a hunt that relied heavily on imagery and activities were based around the castle's history as far as possible, allowing participants to act up as pirates, highwaymen and even animals of the Indian subcontinent, all of which feature largely in Severndroog's colourful past.
